A girl who hopes to be the world’s first Muslim ballerina has a message of hope, saying, ‘ I can inspire so many other people to believe in themselves and pursue their dreams.’
Stephanie Kurlow, age 14, had been dancing since she was a toddler – but stopped when her family converted to Islam in 2010.
The Sydney schoolgirl believed that there was no chance she could ever succeed as a ballerina – because she wore the hijab.
She is now trying to raise money via crowdfunding site LaunchGood – to prove everyone wrong.

She says, ‘’I plan on bringing the world together by becoming the very first Muslim Ballerina so that I can inspire so many other people to believe in themselves and pursue their dreams.
